Andrea Blatt

Andrea has been at WME since 2016 and works out of the NYC office. Her clients include adventurer and writer Blair Braverman, feminist historian April White, former National Park Service ranger and New York Times bestselling author Andrea Lankford, New York Times bestselling author and co-host of the podcast Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend Sona Movsesian, late night writers Taylor Kay Phillips and Felipe Torres Medina, and novelists Cecilia Rabess, İnci Atrek, Sash Bischoff, and Charlene Wang.
She lives in Montclair, NJ with her husband and daughter. She really wants a dog.
Andrea represents a wide variety of adult fiction and nonfiction. Across the board, she’s looking for accessible, page-turning stories that are engrossing to read and tackle the issues at the heart of being human, make the reader feel something, make the political personal, or reveal something about our world and how we create meaning within it.
In fiction, whether a book is warm, witty, and uplifting or biting, revealing, and taut, she’s up for the ride – as long as it has an eye-catching hook, satisfying plot, and memorable, fully realized characters. That can take the form of an excellent novel you want to discuss with your book club, a family saga that worms its way into your heart, a heart-pounding psychological thriller, an upmarket love story you can’t stop thinking about, and more.
In nonfiction, she loves groundbreaking investigative journalism, narrative history that reflects on our present moment, expert-written, evidence-based health and science that can help us live better, humor that holds up a mirror to our society, and more.
Andrea is particularly on the hunt for books that take her out of New York City – bring on the books set in the Midwest or the American South, or in a different country.
Books Andrea has loved in the last few years (aside from the rockstars she represents) are First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston, True Biz by Sara Novic, The Husbands by Holly Gramazio, Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin, Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid, Ready or Not by Cara Bastone, We Are Too Many by Hannah Pittard, Frostbite by Nicole Twilley, Why We Sleep by Matthew Walker, and The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt.
