Alyssa Reuben
Alyssa joined WME in 2022 after serving as the head of Paradigm Agency’s Book Publishing division, where she worked for nearly 15 years. Originally from Philadelphia, she lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two kids.
Alyssa has spent two decades championing authors and building standout careers, representing an eclectic list of bestselling and award-winning writers across fiction and nonfiction.
In fiction, Alyssa is drawn to propulsive, voice-driven stories that blend emotional resonance with undeniable hooks. She is actively looking for novels that grip you from the first page and stay with you long after turning the last; everything from upmarket, book club fiction, romance and rom-com, thrillers and domestic suspense, and select young adult projects. She gravitates toward complex female protagonists, an irresistible romance arc, sweeping family sagas, and stories where desire, ambition, and relationships collide—often layered with sharp wit, a touch of escapism, or a keen social lens.
Her nonfiction list is equally dynamic, spanning prescriptive, narrative, memoir, pop culture, lifestyle, and cookbooks. She is especially passionate about working with authors who shape cultural conversations through projects that resonate widely, feel timely, and have a lasting impact.
Alyssa’s clients include Jessica Knoll, Emma Grede, Vivian Tu, Jessica Goodman, Emma Brodie, Rachel Hochhauser, Tinx, Ella Quittner, Feeding Littles, Scarlett St. Clair, Katie Sturino, Kresley Cole, and the Betches. Her titles have been selected for major national book clubs, Indie Next, and Book of the Month, and have appeared on the New York Times, USA Today, and Sunday Times bestseller lists.
She prides herself on discovering new talent and nurturing long-term careers. Above all, Alyssa is drawn to stories that linger and books that spark conversation, evoke emotion, and make you want to press a copy into the hands of everyone you know.
